antitheft protects the files on your computer. What it learns about your computer stays on your computer. This page says what reaches us, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible. UzRobotics LLC, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delaware 19958, United States, makes and sells antitheft and is responsible for your data. Write to our privacy officer at [email protected] with any question or request about it.
What stays on your computer
The app watches which programs open your protected files (wallets, password managers, browser data, keys) and stops the ones that should not. Everything it records for that, such as which program opened which file, alerts, your activity history and your settings, is kept on your computer. The app does not send us your files, their contents, the list of your programs or what they do. It sends no crash reports and no usage statistics either.
Those records are kept in antitheft's own folder on that computer. antitheft does not encrypt them, and anyone with administrator rights on the computer can read them. They cover every program on the computer, whoever runs it, so if other people use it, tell them. Removing antitheft with its option to delete its records removes them.
What the app sends us
- Without an account: the app asks our server for the current price and plan and for its list of protected apps and files, and downloads its updates. When we test different wordings of the app's own texts, it also sends a random install ID created on that computer, so we can show you the right version and count which wording works. That ID is not linked to your account, your name or your files, and these requests carry no account or device identifier.
- When you sign in on a computer: the app registers that computer under your account: a random device identifier, a public key it signs its requests with, the computer's name (its hostname, which you can change in your account) and its operating system. From then on it checks its subscription with our server and keeps a connection open so your account knows which computers are online and covered.
- When you accept these documents: which version of the Terms and of this policy you accepted, when, and in which version of the app.
Your account
- Email address. You sign in with a link or code we email you, or with Google. With Google, we receive the email address Google confirms for you. We never see your Google password, and we do not ask Google for your contacts, files or anything else.
- Subscriptions and payments: what you bought, for how many computers, when it renews or ends, invoices, refunds and your account balance, and that you agreed to the terms and the renewal when you paid.
- Support messages you send us in the app or on the site, and which computer a message came from.
- Choices you make: which optional emails you want, and which version of these documents you accepted.
Payments
Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, and may be sold through a merchant of record it works with, such as Link, as the checkout shows. They receive your card details, email address and billing country and handle them as independent controllers under their own privacy policies; we never see or store your card number, and we receive a record of the payment. If you top up your balance with cryptocurrency, we keep the deposit address we gave you and the transactions sent to it, which are public on their blockchain. To offer the payment methods available where you are, our server reads the country and region your connection comes from, as Cloudflare reports them, and keeps the country with purchases paid from your balance, for tax records.
Partner links
If you arrive through a partner's link, the site keeps a small cookie with the partner's code, so the partner is credited if you sign up. We record which partner brought an account. The partner sees, for the accounts they brought, a masked email address (like j***@gmail.com), whether the account has a subscription and what it paid, so they can check what they earn.
Our website
antitheft.pro uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts. It does not track you across sites, so it treats every visit the same whether or not your browser sends Do Not Track. Our server uses your IP address to protect itself from abuse, such as too many sign-in attempts, and does not keep it with your account. To keep bots out, the sign-in form and some payment steps run Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and connection for signs of automation; Cloudflare handles that under its own privacy policy. The account page keeps your sign-in session in your browser's own storage.
Emails
We always email you sign-in links and notices about money (a receipt, a declined card, a refund, a renewal that is coming up). Reminders that your paid time is ending, and our replies to your support messages when you are not in the app, are on unless you turn them off in your account. Product news is off unless you turn it on.
Who else handles your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except these services, each only for the part of antitheft it runs:
- Cloudflare carries all traffic to our site, our server and our downloads, protects them from attacks, and runs the bot check on sign-in.
- GitHub (Microsoft) may serve the app's downloads and updates, and then receives your IP address when the app or you download one.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Stripe, and the merchant of record the checkout names (such as Link), only if you pay by card.
- The company that rents us the server our account system runs on.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To provide antitheft: your account, your computers, your subscriptions and support. We need this data to perform our contract with you.
- To keep payment and tax records the law requires: a legal obligation.
- To keep antitheft safe and prevent fraud and abuse, and to show the right version of the app's texts: our legitimate interest in running antitheft safely and well.
- Product news and the partner cookie: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where it is kept, and how it is protected
Your account data is kept on a server we rent, and the services listed above run in several countries, the United States among them, so your data may be handled outside your own country; where a service relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses, those apply. Connections to our site and server are encrypted, and only the antitheft team can reach the account data. If a breach affects your data, we tell you, and the authorities, as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is closed at once: you can no longer see it or sign in to it, and the same email address can start a fresh account. For 90 days after that we keep everything, so a deletion made by mistake can be undone if you write to us. After those 90 days we remove your computers' data. We keep the record of your account, including the email address it had, together with your payment and invoice records, for as long as the law requires payment records to be kept and to prevent fraud. If you want those removed, write to us and we will remove what the law lets us remove. Support messages are kept while the account exists.
Your rights
- Access and portability: download your account and billing data from your account's settings, or ask us for everything we hold about you, support messages included.
- Correction: change your computers' names and your email preferences in your account, or ask us to correct anything else.
- Deletion: delete your account from your account's settings, or ask us to remove more, as described above.
- Objection and withdrawal: turn off optional emails at any time, or object to any other use of your data.
- Complaint: you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Write to [email protected] for any of these. We answer within the time the law gives us.
Age
antitheft is for adults. We do not knowingly keep accounts for anyone under 16; if you are under 18, a parent or guardian must accept the Terms and manage the account.
If antitheft changes hands
If antitheft is sold or taken over, your data goes with it, and this policy keeps applying to it until you are told otherwise.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy, and we publish every new version here with its date. A new version comes with an update of the app, as the Terms describe: the app asks you to accept it before that update installs, and the version you accepted keeps applying to the app you have until you do. If a change affects what we collect, why, or who handles it, we tell you in the app, in your account or by email, in advance, unless the law or a security problem makes us change something sooner. Where the law requires your agreement, the change applies to you only once you have accepted it.
